April News and Views

With some exciting news and our first RAT run under our belts here at Romford, we welcome our riders and newsletter fans from around the Globe to the April edition of News and Views.
For all those that own and ride a Triumph motorbike how does it feel to be representing the top selling brand in the UK? Our counterparts from Germany, Milwaukee and Japan are looking out of their windows and seeing Triumphs peeling out of the UK dealerships and wishing they had thought of that one!
After just 12 weeks, industry figures show that Triumph are comfortably number 1 with a market share of nearly 20% of all bikes registered in the United Kingdom!
To celebrate this fact, North City Triumph held an evening event where we stood on the top of our super new facility in Romford and waved a Union Jack at all the non Triumph bikes that went past.
We are very proud of this brilliant achievement from the folks at Hinckley and would like to extend a warm "Thank You" to all of our customers for being part of this fabulous revival!

RAT

Our "Jumpin Jack Flash" run in March was brilliant! We had 52 bikes on the road and enjoyed a great day out! Our next soiree is this Sunday 17th April! The "Get Back" run will be leaving the dealership in Romford at 10am. We will be registering from 9am onwards. A full tank of gas and a sunny smile is all you require. We have a super route planned, finishing at the Anglo Saxon Village in West Stow, Bury St Edmunds.

If you haven't registered for our "Hard Days Night" Run on Saturday 25th June, please give us a call at the dealership as the rooms for our overnight stay are going fast. Folks that have reserved places, please ensure we have your bookings and that these are logged on to our list.

Our May run is scheduled for Sunday 22nd. The "Sympathy for the Devil" Run will be celebrating the dark and mystical world of the occult, with a visit to one of England's most atmospheric caves. Many deeds of depravity and general naughtiness have been performed there over the centuries with daily re enactments of these through the day.
They do a nice cream tea too!

North City Goes "Racin" Update

We are really excited to have Ben Taylor on board our T3 Racing Daytona 675 for the season. Ben has been busy getting the bike ready for it's first outing at Brands Hatch on the Easter Weekend British Superbike Meeting. If you are going, be sure to pop into the pits and give your support to Ben.
His next meeting will be at the Oulton Park Circuit on Sunday 1st May and we hope to see Ben getting in amongst the leaders and flying the North City flag for Romford.

Triumph Bikes

With a torrent of fantastic new Triumphs rolling out of the dealership daily, it has been the best possible start to a new venture that we could have wished for. Not only that, but Triumph just keeps on rolling with some stunning updates and model refreshes that look excellent!
The Street Triple underpins the line up in the 600 class with some sharp new looks for 2011. The new headlights make the bike look like a "baby" Speed Triple and it carries additional styling cues that sharpen and enhance the machine too. A redesign of the tank emblem, changes to the rear decals and the inclusion of the stunning Imperial Purple colourway to the range really sets the bike apart. The oversize handlebars have been standardised and powder coating instead of polishing has been used on footrest hangers.
There is a new colour for the Street Triple R too. The inclusion of the super Crystal White is very exciting and we can't wait to see the bike. Diablo Red has also been included in the line up and we are fortunate to have the model in the showroom. It looks stunning!
With an already great line up of promotions for selected models within the range, Triumph have just announced some further additions to the fine collection of packages. The Sprint ST now benefits from an £800 voucher that can be used, not only for accessories but can be blended with clothing and collectables too! The GT also features this promotion and with the impending release of the new Topbox, now is the time set the bike ready for this year's touring exploits.

We are getting our 2011 Speedmaster and America ready for test rides and can say that the updates on both the bikes are just superb! Triumph has completely reinvented the middleweight cruiser genre with new seating positions, new footrest geometry, handlebar throws and running gear to lift these already comparable motorbikes to a different level.
The twin cylinder motor has the offset beat that the 270 degree crank offers and the torque laden delivery that all Hinckley bikes are famed for. These motorbikes handle too!

Clothing and Collectables

We are getting very excited about the new clothing entering our boutique stock on a daily basis.
The new Falcon Jacket and Gloves are exceptional! The jacket features a Leather and Cordura mix, with full stretch panelling in shoulders and elbows and a thermal vest liner for chilly mornings. Styled in black, grey and blue with white pin lines it looks fabulous! We love the subtle branding and the "shimmer" of the textile panels.
The gloves compliment the design of the jacket and will provide a cooling air flow over the hands when riding in summer conditions.
Our T Shirt styles are also looking great. With the new James Dean 2 and the Union Flag in black, our collection is contemporary and modern. The Union Flag would look perfect under the Falcon Jacket!
For folks that like to keep cool and hydrated, Triumph have involved the famous Swiss manufacturer Sigg to produce an excellent new water bottle. Triumph branded with the Union Flag, it is not only practical and robust but looks good too. Get one for your Summer Holidays.
